TurnUp Music is a music downloading service exclusively focused on local talent. Users can stream and download tracks and playlists, as well as curate their own playlists to listen to offline. Music genres include World Music, Afro Pop, Gospel, Hip Hop, House, Kwaito and featured artists.
Local artists can also use the app to distribute their music and grow a fanbase. Tracks are uploaded to the app and once approved by TurnUp, they are featured on the app for users to stream or download.
A CMS allows a TurnUp Music content editor to load tracks, curate playlists and highlight featured tracks, artists and playlists.
TurnUp have partnered with Vodacom to give users 500MB free data to use when they subscribe to TurnUp. They have three months to utilise their free 500MB.
